Standard Configuration and Optional Equipment

The standard configuration covers the main structural, propulsion, passenger service, navigation and safety systems. Buyers can also select additional equipment and interior upgrades during the design stage.
Hull and Propulsion
The vessel features a twin-hull structure built from 5083-H116 marine-grade aluminum alloy. Aluminum welding is carried out by CCS-certified welders.
The standard propulsion system comprises two Cummins QSL9 diesel engines rated at 325 HP each, paired with Hangzhou gearboxes and twin propellers. Volvo Penta, Yuchai and other engine brands are available as alternatives.
Passenger Facilities
The standard passenger arrangement includes 192 fixed FRP passenger seats and 8 crew seats, with dedicated aisles, handrails and non-slip deck surfaces.
The main cabin is equipped with central air conditioning for passenger comfort. Separate men's and women's restrooms are included, with additional restrooms available as an option.
The upper deck comes with an aluminum sun and rain canopy. A fully enclosed sightseeing roof is available for operators who prefer greater weather protection.
Navigation, Communication and Safety
Standard navigation and communication equipment includes GPS, radar, AIS, VHF radio, an electronic compass, navigation lights and signal lights.
The vessel is equipped with liferafts, life jackets, life rings and a fire protection system configured for applicable CCS passenger vessel requirements. A public address system is also included for passenger announcements and onboard communication.
Optional equipment includes luggage storage, a service bar, additional communication systems, CCTV and passenger counting systems.

Commercial Applications

The 26m passenger catamaran is designed for operators who need a spacious vessel for sightseeing, passenger transfers and organized group transport.

Scenic Sightseeing Cruises
The open upper deck provides an elevated viewing area for coastal tours, scenic waterways and marine tourism routes. The enclosed main cabin offers sheltered seating for passengers during longer trips.
Island Transfers and Ferry Services
The vessel can serve resort shuttle routes, island connections and scheduled passenger services. Its passenger seating arrangement and twin-engine propulsion system support regular commercial operations.
Group Charters and Leisure Cruises
The spacious deck layout accommodates organized group excursions, corporate outings, educational tours and private leisure cruises. Optional VIP seating, service facilities and interior upgrades can create a more specialized onboard experience.

Hull Design and Navigation Performance

Wave-Piercing Twin-Hull Structure
The wave-piercing twin-hull design provides a wide platform for passenger seating and onboard facilities. Compared with a monohull of similar length, the catamaran configuration offers greater usable deck width and can provide favorable roll stability.
Marine-Grade Aluminum Construction
The hull uses 5083-H116 marine-grade aluminum alloy, which combines high strength-to-weight performance with good corrosion resistance in marine environments.
Its lightweight construction helps reduce vessel displacement and can improve fuel efficiency compared with a steel vessel of similar design. Aluminum construction also supports long-term maintenance planning for commercial passenger fleets.
Speed, Range and Propulsion
The design speed is up to 23 knots, with an economic cruising speed of 16 knots and a stated range of 180 nautical miles at that cruising speed.
The twin-engine, twin-screw arrangement provides the propulsion configuration for the vessel's intended passenger service.
Draft and Onboard Systems
The 1.35 m design draft supports access to suitable shallow-water harbors and tourist docks. Cooling, exhaust and fuel supply systems are configured for marine service.

Customization Options

Passenger Layout and Interior
Buyers can adjust the balance between indoor and outdoor seating, introduce VIP viewing areas, upgrade passenger seats and modify cabin partitions. Additional restrooms, a dedicated crew lounge, service bars and upgraded flooring, lighting and interior finishes are also available.
Wheelchair-accessible layouts and suitable boarding arrangements can be incorporated into the vessel design where technically and operationally feasible.
Propulsion and Marine Equipment
Engine upgrades are available for buyers who prefer alternative marine engine brands. Waterjet propulsion can also be evaluated as an alternative to the standard twin-screw arrangement.
Navigation and communication options include satellite internet, CCTV and passenger counting systems. Additional rescue equipment, boarding ladders and other marine fittings can be incorporated into the equipment package.

Manufacturing Process and Delivery

Longkou Jinda Shipping Co., Ltd. manufactures aluminum passenger vessels through a structured production process covering hull fabrication, assembly, equipment installation, launching and vessel trials.

Production and Assembly
The production process begins with the approved technical design and general arrangement drawings. Aluminum cutting and forming are followed by hull assembly, welding and installation of the propulsion system, electrical equipment and passenger facilities.
CCS survey attendance is arranged as applicable to the vessel's construction and certification scope. Buyers can also arrange factory visits and witness inspections during production.
Testing and Handover
Before delivery, the vessel undergoes the applicable launching checks, mooring trials, sea trials, inclining tests and stability verification. The final handover includes the relevant vessel certificates, approved drawings, stability documentation and other agreed technical documents.
Production Lead Time
The standard production lead time is approximately 140 calendar days from the effective contract date. Additional drawing reviews and approval procedures associated with overseas classification requirements may extend the schedule.
Export Shipping
Large aluminum passenger catamarans are generally shipped by breakbulk ocean carrier, with heavy-lift or Ro-Ro transport evaluated for suitable vessels and shipping arrangements.

Quality Assurance and Inspection

Our hull fabrication process follows an ISO 9001 quality management system. Critical welds undergo 100% magnetic particle testing (MPI) and penetrant testing (PT), supporting the identification of surface defects during production.
Aluminum welding is performed by CCS-certified welders, with applicable welding procedures and material documentation maintained throughout manufacturing.
Quality checks cover hull fabrication, welding, equipment installation and vessel trials. CCS survey attendance and other third-party inspections are arranged according to the agreed construction and certification scope.
At handover, the technical documentation package can include material mill certificates, welding procedure documentation (WPS/PQR), non-destructive testing reports, general arrangement drawings, stability calculations, load line documentation, sea trial reports and inclining test reports, as applicable to the vessel and certification arrangement.

Certification and Compliance

Construction and Classification
The vessel can be constructed and surveyed to applicable China Classification Society (CCS) requirements for the intended service. Additional certification or classification arrangements involving CE, BV, ABS, ZC and ZY can be discussed for specific projects.
Export Market Support
For overseas projects, we provide technical drawings and construction documentation to support local vessel registration and operating permit applications. Our team can coordinate the vessel design and equipment configuration with the relevant certification requirements for markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Oceania and other regions.
Manufacturer Credentials
Longkou Jinda Shipping Co., Ltd. holds ISO 9001 quality management certification and has High-Tech Enterprise qualification, military procurement system qualification, and invention and utility patents related to aluminum vessel construction.
