Commercial Bottom Trawling System

This 19.9 m trawler adopts stern bottom trawling layout. The hydraulic system is sized for sustained towing, fast shooting and reliable haulback under commercial fishing cycles.

Standard trawling package for 19.9 m version:

  • Hydraulic double-drum trawl winch, rated pull 8 t, hauling speed 12 m/min
  • Wire rope capacity: 1200 m × 14 mm warp per drum
  • Heavy-duty stern gallows, net guide rollers, tail block and net ramp
  • Single bottom trawl setup as standard; twin trawl configuration optional
  • Dedicated hydraulic power unit matched to winch and deck machinery
  • Navigation & fish-finding suite: GPS, AIS, VHF, 24 nm radar, echo sounder, fish finder, net depth sensor, net monitoring system

Standard deck workflow:
1.Shoot net → Monitor net depth and door spread during towing
2.Haul back via hydraulic winch
3.Land catch onto anti-slip working deck
4.Sort catch and transfer into insulated fish hold
Winch GA drawing, hydraulic schematic and load calculation will be provided for client approval before production.

Fish Hold Capacity & Catch Preservation

The vessel features a 22 m³ insulated fish hold designed to maintain catch quality during storage and transport. Three preservation options are available to suit different fishing operations:

Insulated Hold: Suitable for inshore trips of 18–24 hours without mechanical refrigeration.
RSW Chilled Seawater System: Maintains water temperatures at 0–4°C, making it suitable for shrimp and white fish.
Blast Freezing System: Features a 12 m³ freezing zone capable of reaching -22°C for multi-day offshore trips.

An optional 4 m³ live fish tank with continuous water circulation and aeration is available for transporting live crab and demersal fish.

Aluminum Hull Design for Fishing Grounds

Hull and superstructure built from 5083-H116 aluminum alloy.

Design Highlights:

  • Hull form: Round bilge design balancing trawling stability and towing resistance
  • Draft: Standard 1.35 m; shallow-draft variant down to 1.0 m available for tidal estuaries
  • Construction standard: Built to CCS rules for fishing vessels
  • Sea keeping: Rated for routine trawling up to Beaufort 5
  • Welding & inspection access: Layout reserved for NDT, inspection and repair

Fishing Applications & Target Species

This aluminium bottom trawler can be configured to suit local fishery regulations, target species and fishing methods.

Shrimp Trawling: The vessel can be fitted with a 5–8 t pulling winch, low-drag trawl nets and a refrigerated seawater (RSW) hold to keep the catch fresh.

Demersal Fish Trawling: For bottom-fishing operations, the vessel can be equipped with an 8–12 t pulling winch, heavy-duty gallows and a chilled or frozen fish hold.

Crab Fishing: A dedicated sorting bench, live holding tank and reinforced deck fittings can be provided for combined pot and trawl fishing.

Inshore Day Trips: With a shallow draft of 1.0–1.35 m and a fuel capacity suited to daily operations, the vessel can work in coastal waters and return to port the same day.

Medium-Range Offshore Trawling: For longer trips offshore, the vessel can be fitted with larger fuel tanks, a freezer hold and the required safety equipment, with CCS survey arranged as specified.
